Job Profile Summary
The purpose of this position is to coordinate, develop, and implement secondary and postsecondary articulation agreements and assessments with Broward College through the Career & Technical Education (CTE) department. This position has college wide responsibility for CTE articulation agreements and the reporting of articulated credits earned. Works in collaboration with internal departments and outside agencies to develop articulation agreements. Grant position mandated by Carl D. Perkins for FLDOE
Minimum Education:
Bachelor's Degree required. Master's Degree preferred.
Minimum Experience/Training:
Six years experience working with Career & Technical Education programs.
Experience with computer skills Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Experience with effective communication and writing proposals/agreements. Knowledge of CID.
Essential Functions:
- Weekly - 35%: Develops, maintains, and implements Career and Technical Education (CTE) articulation agreements and assessments in coordination with internal stakeholders and external agencies. Serve as liaison between BC and BCPS for articulated CTE programs.
- Daily - 30%: Advises students on articulation agreements and related programs offered in CTE; evaluates students' eligibility to qualify for articulated credit; and recommends alternate accelerated credit if eligible. Facilitates the articulated credits to students' transcripts. Tracks articulated credits earned.
- Semester Basis - 10%: Updates and disseminates articulation agreements/assessment information to website and all stakeholders involved in agreements.
- Annually - 10%: Works collaboratively with BC colleagues and BCPS to implement student-focused career exploration events.
- Quarterly - 5%: Assists with the development of marketing materials related to articulation. Markets articulation information by posting relevant articles on the BC website. Develops brochures, posters, and flyers. Creates and conducts CTE articulation presentations.
- Annually - 5%: Attends local, state and national conferences and actively participates in meetings/workshops where Career & Technical Education curriculum issues are being addressed.
- Daily - 5%: Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge and understanding of Career & Technical Education, workforce education, the Carl D. Perkins legislation and how it relates to students; ability to develop relationships with School Board of Broward County counselors, advisors, teachers and students; ability to work well with external higher education faculty and staff; excellent interpersonal and presentation skills; ability to research and implement state-mandated articulation agreements; and ability to think critically.
In-depth functional knowledge and expertise in area of specialization and general knowledge of related areas in the College
Ability to perform complex administrative analysis with only general supervision
Strong diagnostic, analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent coordination and communication skills used appropriately influence the decision-making of individuals and groups at all levels in the College
