Description of Duties and Tasks
1. Performs clerical duties to support faculty/staff, inventorying supplies and equipment, maintaining files, and processing mail.
2. Answer telephones, route calls, or take messages; respond to and/or direct inquiries to the appropriate department.
3. May be assigned responsibility for special projects such as assisting with parking, security and other areas within campus operations.
4. May be responsible for conducting a weekly safety campus audit and reporting their findings to the campus manager.
5. Answers questions related to the campus operations. Facilitates visitors and vendors on campus visits.
6. May interact with other departments regarding maintenance issues. Other duties as assigned.
7. Support events on the campus which could include event setup and takedown.

- Office procedures and practices.
- Customer service techniques.
Skills
- Maintaining an established work schedule.
- Effectively using interpersonal and communications skills.
- Maintaining files, and performing other basic clerical duties.
- Maintaining confidentiality of information and materials.
- Establishing and maintaining effective internal and external relationships.
- Effective customer-orientation when working with a multicultural population.
Technology Skills
- Use a variety of spreadsheet, word processing, database, and presentation software.
- May also use social media, work with desktop publishing, and update web pages.
Required Work Experience
- One year of related work experience.
Required Education
- High school diploma or educational equivalent.
Other Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with serving multicultural populations.
Physical Requirements
- Work is performed in a standard office or similar environment.
- Subject to standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
- Occasional lifting of objects up to 10 pounds.
Safety
- Work safely and follow safety rules. Report unsafe working conditions and behavior. Take reasonable and prudent actions to prevent others from engaging in unsafe practices.
