The Office of Communications and Marketing seeking a detail-oriented and creative Web UI/UX Assistant to support our web design, content, research, and development team. The ideal candidate will assist in various research tasks, presentation preparation, asset documentation, and content updates, contributing to the overall success of our web redesign and marketing projects. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about creating user-centered digital experiences and eager to grow their career in UX research and design.Job Description:
The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting our Lead UX/UI Manager by conducting user research, organizing data, and contributing to light design tasks. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about creating user-centered digital experiences and eager to grow their career in UX research and design.
Description of Duties and Tasks
- Collaborate with the UX/UI Design Manager to create and distribute surveys, analyze results, and present findings.
- Assist in documenting and refining ACC assets within Figma, ensuring that design resources are up-to-date and accessible.
- Support web design & development tasks, including preparing survey documents, assisting in design & research activities, and performing QA across the site as it relates to current and upcoming projects.
- Build and refine presentation decks to communicate research findings to cross-functional teams and stakeholders, setting the tone for upcoming web design initiatives.
- Perform content updates, such as fixing 404 errors, updating image alt text, and adding meta descriptions across subdomains.
Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to organize and present complex information in a clear, concise manner.
- Basic understanding of accessibility and usability principles.
- Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Experience in higher education or nonprofit environments.
- Knowledge of HTML/CSS for basic front-end adjustments.
- Familiarity with content management systems (CMS).
Qualifications:
Education:
- High School Diploma
Preferred Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Design, or a related field.
- Equivalent experience in UX research or a relevant role will also be considered.
Experience:
- 1+ year of experience in UX research, usability testing, or related roles (internships or volunteer experience accepted).
- Familiarity with research tools (e.g., UserTesting, Optimal Workshop, Hotjar) is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of UX/UI design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.

$23.00/hour
