Intern I-Marketing (Hourly)Job Description Summary:
With supervision, will perform general administrative duties and/or research functions for the purpose of developing a working knowledge of a specific area of study.Job Description:
- 1. Implement marketing campaigns and other outreach activities as defined by ABI marketing
strategy to improve the reach of ABI content both locally and nationally.
2. Develop audio, video, and written content for various media platforms, including standard social
media and other industry-specific platforms.
3. Maintains ABI newsletter and social media accounts.
4. Evaluate current ABI marketing and outreach strategy and suggest paths for improvement.
5. Assists ABI staff in development of mid-term outreach strategies to promote ABI brand
awareness and hosted events.
6. Develop a media outlet list for promotion of ABI content.
- Must possess required knowledge and be able to explain and demonstrate, with or without
reasonable accommodations, that the essential functions of the job can be performed.
● Mastery of standard software suites, including Microsoft Office, Figma, Canva, Adobe Creative,
or similar programs.
● Knowledge of the current trends and features of social media and digital marketing platforms.
● Familiarity with mainstream social media channels, digital marketing platforms, and market
analytics.
- Must possess required skills and be able to explain and demonstrate, with or without reasonable
accommodations, that the essential functions of the job can be performed.
● Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a strong
customer-orientation when working with a diverse team.
● Effective planning, organizing, communication, and interpersonal skills including the ability to
meet deadlines.

● Capacity to maintain an established schedule.
● Maintaining confidentiality of work related information and materials.
- ● Use a variety of spreadsheet, word-processing, database, and presentation software.
- High school diploma or educational equivalent; current GPA 2.8 and above.
- Knowledge of biology, chemistry, or other life sciences discipline.
- ● Work is performed in a variety of settings including office and laboratory.
● Occasional lifting of objects up to 10 pounds.
- Work safely and follow safety rules. Report unsafe working conditions and behavior. Take reasonable and prudent actions to prevent others from engaging in unsafe practices.
